I'm Jeanette. A few things about me...I'm married and a stepmom to 4. I have 3 dogs and 1 cat. I love coffee, wine, and chocolate. I also love cute coffee mugs, it goes along with my love of coffee. I'm a graphic designer, so eventually I decided, why not design my own coffee mugs? I'm originally from New Orleans, so Fleur de Lis are stamped on my heart. And I'm an introvert at my core, so a good night for me is a glass of wine, the couch, Netflix, and my animals nearby.
My Story
Life and Lemons stems from the phrase “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” Or, as some people like to say, “When life gives you lemons, add vodka” (my personal favorite.) There are two things this site is about:

Life's struggles and how they can affect our mental state

Fun, cute graphics displayed on products like coffee mugs, journals, stickers, etc
So, why not combine the two? Oftentimes these little sayings I see on t-shirts and coffee mugs apply to mental health struggles, whether they be positive and inspirational or sarcastic and relatable. And I find the colorful graphics themselves are just fun to look at.
Life and Lemons is about making the most out of whatever situation you are in. And no, I don’t mean to sound overly positive or to make sure you always find the silver lining. Yes, sometimes that applies. But sometimes it’s about finding that perfect sarcastic comment, or finding the funny in a situation, or even just expressing a cuss word or two. It’s whatever is needed in that moment to get through it.
So here do two things. We write about mental health, relatable life moments, and all the awkward, funny, hard, and inspirational moments that come with them. And we sell products that reflect those moments, that are relatable and bring joy. Whether they are to bring a smile to yourself or to gift to a friend, that’s up to you.
